Volvo 850 Crank Sensor Test

I replace the timing on 1993 volvo 850.

Volvo 850 crank sensor test.

When trying to start it will turn over 3 5 times befo. The ecu ground and power input seem good. The rpm sensor and camshaft position sensor have good out. This is according to the test procedure by chilton hayes and volvo.

A signal and a ground. I followed the volvo ignition test procedure. I am testing the camshaft position sensor with a meter plugged into the connector that goes to the ecu. March 17 2017.

I have swap another ignition ecu but no spark either. The ckp sensor consists of usually a permanent magnent sensor that is mounted in front of a reluctor toothed wheel mounted to the crankshaft. Nick is a sensor testing wiz. The crankshaft position sensor ckp is usually a two wire sensor.

I do not have an account with alldata. Timing marks on exhaust and intake cams are perfect. Answered by a verified volvo mechanic. Very effective as we do not have any trained volvo personel within my state for s80scandonovia so i do very much need this.

Followup from the pelican staff. Obd2 code p0336 volvo definition. It calls for testing the values at the harness on the engine side unplugged from the sensor. Casey at pelican parts.

I have pulled a p0340 code. Cranks but won t start. How do i test a 1993 volvo crank shaft position sensor. What else could be going wrong.
